Carla’s top approaches are the Person-Centered Therapy, it focuses on the here and now of the client’s self-awareness, with the understanding that the worldview of the client is different than that of the counselor. Existential Therapy, the client has the ability to think freely, are responsible, and have the ability within themselves to have positive meaning in their lives. Solution-focused Brief Therapy focuses on the future in raising awareness of the client’s potentials. And the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helps clients change their thinking patterns or behaviors, as responsibility is placed on the client. The client becomes active during therapy and while outside the therapy sessions, homework is also assigned as part of the therapy process.
