Jerriod N. Broadnox MA, MS, LADAC, NCAC-II, CFC
I am a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC), Nationally Certified Addiction Counselor (NCAC-II), and a Certified Forensic Counselor (CFC). I am also certified in administering and interpreting the Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory (SASSI) for Adults and Adolescent. While holding a Dual Master’s degree in Community Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy (John Brown University 2008), I have over 25 years of experience working in the mental health and addiction field. In 2014, I, along with the school administrators of Farmington High School, developed an outpatient program called The Second Chance Program, that gives qualified students the option of remaining in school under a very strict probationary status and avoiding expulsion, if they have encountered difficulty maintaining abstinence with illicit substances and other drugs. As this program continues to this day, many students have been able to successfully complete the program, utilizing and learning fundamental skills to aid them in maintaining abstinent from harmful substances. While working in many capacities in mental health and addiction, (private practice, working in different agencies, and even contract work) My knowledge and wisdom in these areas has only contributed to him becoming much more compassionate to others when working with those who suffer from such imperfection. Not only does I take a much more of a person-centered approach, his degree of working with each individual is often described as working from the “inside out.” When showing compassion and genuine interest to every single soul I encounter , I believe this is the root of restoring lives
